Conference Proposals due July 1 for Community-University Partnerships Conference in Canada in May 2011!

We're delighted to announce the call for proposals for the conference "Community-University Partnerships: Bringing Global Perspectives to Local Action," also known as "CU Expo 2011." The conference takes place May 10-14, 2011 in Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada.

Answers to Questions About Initiative on Rewarding Community-Engaged Scholarship at Canadian Universities

Call for applications from Canadian universities ready to take on challenge of rewarding and developing community engaged scholarship

Community-engaged scholarship (CES) is gaining momentum in Canadian higher

education, yet university reward systems have not kept pace. Much work needs

to be done within university cultures to institutionalize and sustain community

engagement as a core value and practice. Developing a cadre of faculty members

whose focus is CES - and universities that recognize and reward them - are

central to addressing this issue.
